This old thick tree looks to me like a grandfather surrounded by the kids. They run around, ask questions and play. While he is always strict and a little grumpy.

Water is a very fickle substance. It can be soft, it can be hard. It's different on every photography. If you make long exposure on mostly still water, you'll get glass effect. If you make same long exposure on wavy water, you'll get such marble. You can also get fog from a different point of view.

Manhattan Beach Pier. Los Angeles beaches are mostly bald and featureless. There are no rocks, no cliffs, just sand. The only photogenic items here are piers and the best of them is this one. I hunted for reflections here.

I was attracted by the variety of colors here. They vary from cold deep blue to warm pink. Also clouds make a nice reflection in the sand mirror.

I spent some time hunting surfers to catch them in a proper position on top of the wave. Of course it required some work from their side as well :)

A beautiful day with nice photo opportunities. Some clouds, flat shoreline allowing reflections, small funny birds arranged in lines and few people enjoying the sunshine. Even a long hike feels easy and refreshing on such days.

It is not an easy task to make panoramic seascapes because waves are moving all the time and every time the pattern is different. It's hard to stitch photos together later. I made lots of photos to have the two, which would be combined.

Its one of the best relaxing therapies for me to come over to some lake or pond just before sunset, to sit near still water watching reflections and passing clouds, to listen to frog and cicada songs, make a deep sigh and release all stresses of today...

To take this image I took my trousers off and went into the lake. Those water plants that resembled some kind of tentacles looked a bit scary, but I had to :) The bottom was slippery and muddy. And there were some fishes spinning around. This is how Ukraine looks - pastoral and green.

I don't know which time of time of day wakes your imagination up, leading your thoughts somewhere far away, to non existing places with non existing colors, but for me its twilight. When the Sun drowns and light changes quickly. So maybe its just about color of the light?..

The light here is real and looks like a fairy tale. The reason is in spray water going from waterfalls and specific position of the Sun. I couldn't catch my breath when I saw this. Plitvice Lakes is the most magical place I've ever seen.

This photo is taken in Kiev on sunrise and also a jewish holiday Birkat a-Hama (Blessing of the Sun). I went to do the photos of it and was rewarded by such glorious colors and haze.

I was experimenting with the amount of light on the photo. This one is a bit darker, which made the overall feeling more like sunset and the Sun is there with a very good visibility.

The nature is so magnificent that it can survive in the most unbelievable circumstances. The conditions shown here are not very extreme, but are obvious enough instead. This tree grows on the edge and is very happy about that :) It sees every sunset, sees all mountains being on the top. Who cares if chasm is near?
